Contest Overview

The Arkansas’s Best Burger Contest is an annual initiative organized by the Arkansas Beef Council to recognize restaurants that serve high‑quality 100% beef burgers. The contest invites Arkansans to nominate burgers from restaurants across the state.

To be eligible, burgers must be made from 100% beef and appear on the restaurant’s regular or specials menu. Each restaurant location is counted separately. After nominations are collected, top burgers from each region are named finalists, and the burger with the most nominations statewide is awarded the title of Arkansas’s Best Burger.

The contest promotes high‑quality beef and the restaurants that serve it, supports Arkansas cattle producers, and engages consumers in celebrating the state’s beef industry.

Official Rules

  1. Nominations will be accepted online between April 1 and April 30 at 11:59 p.m.

  2. To qualify as a hamburger, the burger must be 100% beef. Other ingredients may be added to the patty (such as spices, vegetables, etc.).

  3. All burgers must be composed of a formed ground beef patty/patties served on a bun or other bread product. Burgers may include any combination of condiments, sauces, cheeses, and toppings. Every component of the burger must be placed between the bun or bread pieces or served open-faced on a bread product.

  4. Burgers must be available on the nominated restaurant’s regular menu; burger may also be included on the “specials” menu. The winning burger must remain on the menu for the following calendar year.

  5. Nominated restaurants must be open for business by the beginning of the nomination period and must be open year-round. Establishments/restaurants must be open to all ages and accessible to the general public, with no membership or exclusive entry requirements.

  6. The top burger, by number of nominations, will be selected and honored as a finalist from each of the five regions within the state.

  7. The Arkansas’s Best Burger Contest overall winner will be the burger with the highest number of nominations.

  8. For restaurants with multiple locations, nominations will be counted separately for each location, not as a combined total.

  9. The sponsor, Arkansas Beef Council, retains the discretion to make all decisions regarding the interpretation of these Official Rules. All decisions of the sponsor are final.
